The company is aware of the situation and is investigating the hack. They have already reset user accounts and asked everyone to change their passwords. This comes as Razer is still dealing with the consequences of a data leak in 2020. In that incident, the personal data of about 100k users was exposed. Razer is currently involved in a legal case related to that leak.

The company was founded in 2005. They launched virtual currencies for rewards and credits in 2017 and made some changes to the system the following year. The data that was stolen in this recent hack seems to be related to the old version of their system.
